Freida acted in this video well before Slumdog Millionaire stunned the world with its Oscar sweep. Freida got the Slumdog offer while she was in the process of shooting this video. Freida even invited the singer to the sets of Slumdog, but he declined.
Hothi never made the connection between the girl who acted in his video and the girl who walked the red carpet at the Oscars. It was a friend who realised and told him.
