Penelope Cruz's full name is Penelope Cruz Sanchez, and she started her acting career (in films) in 1992 with the film Jamon Jamon opposite Javier Bardem.
Penelope has primarily acted in Spanish films, with a few Hollywood flicks evenly distributed through her career. Her first major Hollywood flick was Woman on Top in 2000.
The time Penelope spent in shooting Vanilly Sky (2001) brought her very close to her co-star Tom Cruise. Cruz and Cruise (as they were known) dated for three years.
